Great Plains Manufacturing comprises facilities in eight different towns in north-central Kansas, as well as its facility in Sleaford, England. The manufacturing facilities at Great Plains utilize the latest technology and production processes to assure customers a superior finished product. The company also has sales and service locations in the Ukraine, Russia, and Bulgaria.

Salina, in the heart of Kansas, is home to 50,000 residents and the Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. Corporate Headquarters. This location houses the Great Plains Ag Division, Land Pride Sales, Service and Marketing, GPAC Finance Division and the Great Plains International Division. In 2011, the corporate office doubled in size with the addition of Great Plains Conference Center.

Ellsworth Plant

Once a bustling cattle town in the late 1800s, Ellsworth, Kansas, is now home to 3,000 residents and the largest Great Plains Ag Tillage plant. This facility has 130,000 sq/ft (12,077 sq/m) of plant area, five robotic welders, two plate lasers, a modern paint line, plus numerous CNC machining centers. Products produced here include Turbo-Maxes®, Turbo-Tills®, Turbo-Choppers®, and Turbo-Chisels®.

Assaria Research and Development

All Great Plains Ag Division products endure rigorous testing to ensure product safety and quality. Product design and testing for Great Plains Ag Division implements takes place in Assaria, Kansas, at our 65,000 sq/ft (6,039 sq/m) Research & Development facility. Our Engineering Design Department is equipped with the latest in computer-aided design software and equipment, and consistantly develops a flow of new products to keep Great Plains Ag positioned as a leader within the ag industry.

Salina, KS Campus

The Salina, KS campus represents Great Plains' largest group of facilities, boasting 564,000 sq/ft (60,758 sq/m) of plant area. This group of production plants is equipped with ten robotic welders, six laser and plasma punch units, two powder paint lines, and a two-part liquid paint line. Products produced here include all Grain Drills, Planters, and Sprayers, as well as some Tillage equipment.

Tipton, KS Plant

Located among the Kansas wheat fields, Tipton, Kansas, is a small farming community of 240 people and home to our third manufacturing facility. This facility consists of 81,000 sq/ft (7,525 sq/m), which includes tillage emplement production as well as the Great Plains Division Tillage Product Development Department. Products manufactured here include Field Cultivators, Disc-O-Vators®, Ultra-Tills®, Plains Plows, Seedbed Conditioners, and Tillage Attachments.

Abilene, Kansas Land Pride Plant

Land Pride's largest facility is located in Abilene, KS, population 9,500. This manufacturing facility boasts 191,000 sq/ft (17,745 sq/m) of plant area, and is equipped with seven robotic welders, two powder paint lines, and four powder paint booths. This plant operates a continuous production schedule, has lasers, plasma punches, and numerous CNC-controlled production machine tools.

Kipp, Kansas Land Pride Plant

Land Pride's Kipp facility is located only 10 minutes from Salina, KS. This facility offers 34,000 sq/ft (3,159 sq/m) of plant area, two robotic welding systems, and a two-part liquid paint line. Products produced here include: Rear Blades, Trip Edge Blades, Plot Rangers, Box Scrapers, Disc Harrows, Grading Scrapers, Landscape Rakes, Scarifiers, Pallet Forks, Soil Pulverizers, and Spike Tooth Harrows.

Lucas, Kansas Land Pride Plant

Located on the beautiful Post Rock Scenic Byway, Lucas, KS is home to 410 residents as well as the second largest Land Pride manufacturing facility. With 111,000 sq/ft ( 10,312 sq/m) of plant area, six robotic welders, several plasma punches, and a laser, the Lucas plant produces Land Pride's largest products. Products produced here include the following: 7'-20' Rotary Cutters, Parallel Arm Rotary Cutters, Primary Seeders, Drag Scrapers, Hydraulic Reservoir Systems, and Pasture Aerators.

All Land Pride products endure rigorous testing to ensure product safety as well as quality. Product design and testing takes place just one block from our corporate headquarters in Salina, KS, at our 36,000 sq/ft (3,344 sq/m) Land Pride Research & Development facility. Our Engineering Design Department is equipped with the latest in computer aided design and consistantly develops a flow of new products to keep Land Pride in a leadership position within our industry.

Great Plains International Simba Facilities, Sleaford, England

Sleaford is an agricultural town of 14,500 people and home to Great Plains’ first overseas manufacturing plant.  After acquiring Simba International in April 2010, Great Plains has made significant investment into the Sleaford campus, including increasing the manufacturing space by 37% to a total of 11,800 sq/m (127,014 sq/ft).  The offices and stores were also substantially extended and refurbished.

Located in the Ukranian capital city of Kiev with over 3 million residents, Great Plains Ukraine is responsible for all of Great Plains business in Ukraine. Employees in Kiev coordinate sales, offer service training, process warranty claims and promote all Great Plains products at exhibitions and beyond. Operations in Kiev include a fenced lot for storage of machinery. The office has also accepted the responsibility of expanding distribution into new markets in Eastern Europe. In March 2008, Great Plains Ukraine became an officially registered LLC in the Ukraine and subsidiary of Great Plains Mfg, Inc.

Great Plains International Division

Krasnodar is the economic center of southern Russia and its main industry is related to agriculture and food.  Employees in Krasnador coordinate sales, offer service training, and promote all Great Plains products at exhibitions and beyond.   Great Plains Agro is the official importer for Great Plains parts distribution for all of Russia.  In December 2008, Great Plains Agro became an officially registered LLC in Russia and subsidiary of Great Plains Mfg, Inc.
 

Great Plains International Division

Dobrich is located 30 km west of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.  Great Plains’ first European office and overseas employee was located in Bulgaria.  Besides office and staff in Dobrich, Great Plains East Europe (GPEE) has territory managers in surrounding countries.  GPEE was established as an LLC in Bulgaria and official subsidiary of Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. in 2005.  GPEE is responsible for sales, training and promotion of Great Plains products in markets from Estonia to Turkey.

Great Plains Trucking Offices and Maintenance Facility

Great Plains Trucking was incorporated in 1981 to deliver drills to the Great Plains dealer network and bring back raw materials. Over the years, Great Plains Trucking has expanded its fleet to over 75 tractors and more than 100 trailers, all of which are housed and maintained at the Salina facility. The Salina trucking facility is also home to Great Plains Trucking's offices and dispatch.
