Great Plains UK has appointed C J Cox Limited as its dealer for Dorset and the surrounding area. An established dealer for other major brands including Valtra, CAT and Lely and strategically located in Sturminster Newton close to the county’s large grain belt area, C J Cox is well placed to support users of Great Plains machines in the Dorset, South Somerset and South Wiltshire areas.

Commenting on the award of the new franchise, Chris Cox, Managing Director of C J Cox Limited, said: “We are delighted to be able to add the Great Plains brand to our franchise range and the team is looking forward to supplying and servicing the needs of both existing and new Great Plains customers. Great Plains, formerly Simba in the UK, has an excellent reputation for innovative design and superb build-quality and this new appointment will enable us to further develop our sales in the area’s arable sector.

“We have already sold a 5.5m Trailed X-Press and will be demonstrating a range of machines this autumn including a 3-metre Mounted X-Press and ST Bar, a 4.6-metre Trailed X-Press and a 4-metre SL fully equipped for one-pass crop establishment. Crucially, as the season draws ever closer, we have also ordered large stocks of parts to support existing machines,” he added.

James Kissock, Great Plains’ Territory Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome C J Cox to our dealer network. With a wide range of tillage equipment providing tremendous versatility in terms of tine, disc and roller configurations, together with our drills line-up including the Centurion cultivator drill plus our Yield-Pro planters, we can offer growers in the Dorset area the ideal package to suit their cultivation, seeding and planting needs.”
