Step 5: Closing the Furrow
Every double disc opener row unit
has its own press wheel. The press wheel has four functions:
- It closes the seed trench
- It gauges the planting depth
- It eliminates air pockets
- It firms the ground above the seed
The depth of every row is gauged
individually to provide maximum versatility and the best planting
accuracy possible. |
