Great Plains’ aim of increasing sales and growing its market share across the tillage, seeding and planting machinery sectors of the German agricultural equipment market was given a major boost earlier this summer when the company entered into an agreement with Beutlhauser to retail the full Great Plains 3-metre transport range of tillage and seeding products.
To publically launch the new association, Beutlhauser, one of the largest and most respected agricultural equipment dealer groups in central Germany, held a special Field Day in southern Thuringia where a number of Great Plains products were put through their paces in front of specially invited guests.
Products demonstrated included the 6-metre SLD and 4-metre SL one-pass cultivators, a 4.5 metre Flatliner subsoiler, and the 7-metre version of Great Plains all-new X-Press VX short disc harrow. Farmers attending the event were impressed with the design and the versatility of the Great Plains machines and their potential for increasing yields, whilst reducing crop establishment costs and improving soil structure.
Commenting on their new partnership with Great Plains, Beutlhauser’s Managing Director, Mr. Nils Freigang, said: “We are very happy with our new association with Great Plains. The Great Plains team are extremely flexible in the way that they work and, technically very competent too. This fits very well with our own way of working and enables us to offer our customers a premium level of agricultural equipment technology combined with outstanding service."
A further field day is planned in Western Saxony on 21st September and Beutlhauser will be also be exhibiting Great Plains products at the regional show, “Grüne Tage Thüringen”, which is due to take place in Erfurt between 16th and 18th September.
