Great Plains UK has confirmed the appointment of Jason Weston in the role of Territory Manager for Eastern and South-East England.
Educated at Cranfield University, Jason (42) is from Cambridgeshire and has a wealth of experience across a wide spectrum of the agricultural machinery market including retail sales, dealer network development, after-sales and product demonstrations.
Previously an Area Sales Manager with Knight Farm Machinery, a leading sprayer manufacturer and importer of Bednar cultivation equipment, he has also held senior positions with Rabe Agri and Kongskilde UK.
In his spare time, Jason counts motocross, rugby union, martial arts and circuit training amongst his many hobbies and interests.
Commenting on his appointment, Jason said: “This is the right career move for me at the right time. Great Plains brings together a strong heritage of innovative product development and high quality engineering associated with its Sleaford facility with the impressive technical, manufacturing and financial resources of its US-based parent. Great Plains has strong representation in eastern and south-east England and I am looking forward to working closely with all our dealers and my colleagues to grow our sales in the region.”
David Holmes, Sales Director for UK and France, added: We are delighted to welcome Jason into the Great Plains fold. His experience of the dealer network coupled with his technical knowledge of cultivation and seeding equipment will, I am sure, prove to be a great asset to the company and to our dealers as we strive to further strengthen the Great Plains brand in this important part of our UK market.
